Metaponto, an ancient Greek colony, guards a great museum in the open air. The Archaeological Park and the Tavole Palatine are the main attractions. In the neighbourhood of the archaeological area it is possible to visit the Museum.

Going on the S.S. 106 Jonico we arrive at Policoro, place of the Museum of Siritide. Few kilometres more ahead we find Nova Siri, where Diego Sandoval de Castro’s Castle can be admired.
