Length of the Itinerary: 4 days

 

Matera has a beautiful Cathedral that should be admired. The Park of the Rock Churches is very evocative to visit for its frescoed churches dug in the cliff.

A pause in Acerenza, in order to admire the splendid Cathedral of the XI sec. a.C., is advised.

In Melfi there is the Cathedral of the XII century. The Crypt of Santa Margherita, restored a short time ago, is beautiful.

The route concludes at Venosa, the city of Orazio, where it is possible to visit Trinità Abbey and the Incompiuta. In the historical centre there is also the Cathedral.
