Grumento Nova, an ancient roman colony, conserves, inside of an Archaeological Park, the theatre, the amphitheatre and the baths of that period. Not very far there is the Archaeological Museum. Not far from Grumento, Pertusillo Lake offers interesting attractions for the lovers of nature.

Going on the Agri Valley there are Aliano, place of the Literary Park ‘Carlo Levi’, and Sant’Arcangelo, in whose outskirts the complex of Santa Maria d’Orsoleo rises, an ancient basilian monastery of the XVI century.
