The finding of the Caves of the Vucculi on the Big Mountain of Muro Lucano has raised interest and astonishment of excursionists and scientists.

At the beginning, it was thought that there was only one cave, but further researches and studies showed in 1994 that there was a second cave.

Narrow and characteristic paths amongst the rocks, that take very evocative and odd shapes, lead to a lake.

It is the lowest point in this microenvironment.
