The therapeutic virtues of the water available in this well-equipped thermal spa have been known since prehistory, as the archaeological researches dealt in the ‘Grotte di Calda’, near the springs, show.

This water flows from two springs at 22 centigrade degrees: the ‘Grande Sorgente’, with bicarbonate and calcium elements, and the ‘Piccola Sorgente’, with bicarbonate, calcium and sulphur elements.

This water, free of germs, is excellent against diseases of the respiratory and auditory systems, tonsillitis, pharyngitis, tracheitis, bronchitis, rhinitis, ear infections.

More medical indications concern arthrosis, liver and bile diseases, gastric diseases and vein diseases. This thermal spa offers several kinds of therapies, such as mud baths, warm sulphur baths, aerosol, nasal showers, hydromassage, hydrokinesitherapy, deambulatory baths, massage. In the centre are also a centre for aesthetics and a training hall for the restoration of motor and respiratory functions.

The accommodation is excellent and so is the leisure time equipment in this complex that covers an area of about 800 hectares.
