This village was built on a hill not far from the ruins of the old town of Forentum, occupied by the Romans in 317.

The Church of the Crocifisso, built in 1680, is part of the Convent of the Capuchins. Inside, there are some wooden altars, canvases, of the XVI century, a painting representing ‘Santa Maria della Stella’, of the XIV century, a choir, of the XVI century, and a precious wooden Crucifix, of the XVII century.

The Church of the Annunziata has a beautiful stone portal and inside, there an old sculpture of ‘Santa Maria dei Longobardi’.

The Basil Church of San Biagio was hollowed in a cave by a follower of San Vitale's. To enter it a mule path should be crossed and inside the church there are some beautiful Byzantine frescos.

The area around Forenza is characterised by evocative woods, in particular Derricelli Wood, where some centuries-old Turkey oaks are.
